Veggie Garden

This week students enjoyed some freshly cooked produce from the school veggie garden.

After a few months of growing we harvested Sebago and Pontiac potatoes. It was so exciting digging for potatoes! Some of them were a good size too! Ideally, potatoes need full sun, open and well drained soil and good moisture throughout their growing period. They also need to be mounded up with soil as they grow.

Miss Nicole made hot chips in the oven and students enjoyed a sample from the canteen.
