Principal's Report
Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope that you and your family have stayed safe with the recent volume of rain and that you haven't experienced any damage or injury. Dorothea Mackellar was absolutely right in describing our country as a land of droughts and flooding rains!
Whenever there are extreme weather events like the one we have experienced, it is always good to check in with the children to see how they are feeling. It is easy to forget that they would not have had many experiences like this in their short life and allowing them to share what they are most concerned about will help them hear the facts and to know that you will keep them safe.
School Cross Country
A message was sent today on Compass informing everyone that the Cross Country will now be held at St John's, instead of Mt Carmel. There was little chance of the grounds at Mt Carmel drying out in time and postponing was not an option due to us needing to select our school's Cross Country representative team before the end of this term. I am sure that we will still have an enjoyable day, even though there won't be too much 'country' for the children to run in. We will provide you with more specific information before Monday.
Catholic Education Office survey
I encourage you to complete the survey that was pushed out on Compass yesterday. this survey will provide input into the next strategic plan that the Catholic Education Office is developing. The link to the survey appears in this Newsletter.
P & F Easter Egg Raffle
Just a reminder about this raffle to support the P & F. This organisation has not been able to have many fundraising activities in the last twelve months so I hope that you are able to support this raffle before next Wednesday when it will be drawn.
Wishing you a safe week,
