Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Paregivers,

KINDER INTERVIEWS 2020

Kinder interviews are currently underway with Mrs Billett, Mrs Libro and myself for Kindergarten 2020.

We have received many positive comments about the school from prospective parents at these interviews. Thank you for providing new families with positive feedback about the school.

It is great to hear this positive feedback and that many parents have spoken to existing parents who are happy with the school, the quality learning and supporting the students in developing in their faith.

Please continue to spread the word and encourage families who may be considering applying to do so before the end of term.

TERM TWO STAFF DEVELOPMENT DAY

FRIDAY 28th JUNE - Students are NOT required to attend school on the day. Staff will be engaged in Professional Learning.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT Green Mufti DAY- Wednesday 5th June

World Environment Day is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. Since it began in 1974, the event has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in over 100 countries.

Above all, World Environment Day is the "people's day" for doing something to take care of the Earth.

That "something" at St John's this year will be to have a Green Mufti Day. Students will be invited to wear the colour green and to bring a gold coin donation to assist with sustainability and environmental projects around our school such as; the upkeep of our vegetable garden, composting and waste management.

LATE ARRIVALS

A friendly reminder that if your child arrives at school after the morning bell (8.55am), parents are required to accompany children into the school office so they can be signed in by office staff. This is to ensure the safety of your children. Thank you for your co-operation.

MORNING KISS & DROP

To assist with the traffic flow during the morning school drop off, parents are asked to ensure that they:

* Remain in the vehicle - Encourage students to get out of the car by themselves
* Have their school bag in the car to assist students getting out
* Kiss and Drop so that you are not holding up the traffic coming into the school
