Principal's Report
Dear Parents/Carers,
As we near the end of Term 2, I would like to acknowledge the commitment that the children show to their learning each day, and the way in which they strive to develop positive relationships with each other. Of course, they make mistakes along the way, but their resilience and capacity to make improvements ensures that St John’s is a community where students are working toward showing the best of themselves.
I pray that you and your family are able to find time during the school holidays to relax, slow down and enjoy some quality family time. Family life can bring much joy, and can bring much frustration as well! Being the ‘face of Christ’ to the children in the midst of busy lives is a big challenge, but one which is worth trying to meet as we show our children the values of compassion, love and forgiveness.
COVID update
It has been some time since we have had to speak directly about any changes to school routines. While there have been some announcements made by the State government this morning, we continue to wait for updates that may affect schools. We will distribute any notifications via the Compass app. If you intend to travel during the school holidays, it is recommended that you check information from relevant government agencies.
ALPHA
Thank you to the parents who attended the ALPHA information sessions this week. I hope that you will find that your curiosity has been satisfied and that you are able to commit to what promises to be a valuable experience. If you were unable to attend and would like to find more information about, just let our school office know.
Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable winter break,
Principal
