Principal's Report
Dear Parents/Carers,
As we all become regular users of face masks, I thought this prayer might resonate:
God of all life…
May your love and light shine in and through me today,
In a way that no mask can hide.
May my eyes dance with laughter and joy,
Replacing my hidden smile.
May my actions of care and concern
Speak louder than my muffled voice ever could.
And may the generosity of my heart
Radiate out through who I am
And how I respond to the world around me,
So that others may not see my mask
But your image shining out,
Moving in and through me today.
Amen
I continue to pray that you and your family are keeping well and safe.
Remote Learning
We now have all children accessing their learning either via the Seesaw app (Kinder - Year 2) or Google Classroom (Years 3 - 6). Please contact the school if you need any assistance with technology. We do not want that be a barrier to your child's learning.
The teachers have been commenting on the positive way that the children have been engaging with their tasks. Remember that remote learning will be successful when the home environment is as stress-free as possible, so allow the children to spend time away from the learning tasks if they are needing a break. While you are juggling your own work commitments, trying to keep the children focused on their learning may be a challenge. While we expect that the children will take responsibility for completing tasks, they may be anxious about this experience, allow them to take their time.
Support for families
Last week we notified all parents via Compass of some financial support, in relation to school fees, that is being offered during the current lockdown. Please contact the school office if you need any support with that.
Our school counsellor is using our Newsletter each week to provide some helpful tips to support yourselves and the children. The NSW Health website also contains some links to a variety of supports that are available (link here)
