Principal's Report
Dear Parents/Carers,
How lovely it has been this week to welcome back our Kindergarten and Year 1 students. They have certainly shown that they were ready and excited about being able to reconnect with their friends and teachers. It is wonderful to have the vibrancy and energy that the children bring to our school community.
This week has also been a good test for our new procedures on the playground which limit mingling between grades. We have been very impressed by how the children have understood why these measures are in place and how they have accepted the changes with great maturity.
We now really look forward to welcoming back the children from Years 2-6 next Monday, having all of our school community back together once more.
This is a prayer that you may like to pray with your child:
"Heavenly Father, Help me have the courage I need when returning to school. Help me remember that you are with me. Help me to care for others and use my experience of lockdown to grow. Please be with all the staff at my school, as we face some uncertainty together. Thank you for keeping me safe. Amen."
World Teachers Day
Next Friday, 29 October, schools across Australia acknowledge World Teachers Day. Your child may like to create a thank you card, personal note or drawing for their teacher as a simple way of acknowledging the care and dedication they show to their work.
Wishing you a safe and happy week,
Paul Moroney
