Please find an insert in today’s newsletter explaining the NCCD (Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability). Please take the time to read this information.

This initiative has been established to collect data on the extent of students with learning difficulties or disabilities and medical needs that are present across the country.

The Commonwealth Government is hoping to use the survey data to better understand the level of need in the school community, hopefully leading to further resources to assist schools in meeting the range of diverse learning needs within their schools.

Data is being collected from students who have a Personalised Plan and require some additional adjustments to learning so as to allow them to access the curriculum.
The school will send this data from your child’s personal plan to the Commonwealth Government as part of the National Data Collection.

The only data the Commonwealth Government will receive through this process will be information relating to your child’s particular needs and the provisions the school has in place to support him or her. No personal information specific to the child or family will be disclosed.
