it was so great to be able to attend the All Schools (primary & secondary) National Diving Championships in Brisbane this week.

Rhys won a bronze medal in his 5m platform event. He then won a silver medal in his 12yo knock-out event. 

Unfortunately on Tuesday whilst warming up for the Team Event he badly hurt his ankle which had us in the ED and also withdrawing from that event.

Strapped to the nines,he competed on Thursday in Springboard, narrowly missing a medal and in 4th place 

He rounded out the week today competing up in the 13&14yo Boys and mixed synchro event, and they placed 4th which is a great result with the older age group and his injury.

We are immensely proud of his effort, determination and keeping a cool head when things didn't always go his way, but also for his loud cheering and clapping for his competitors. He represented St John's and NSW so well :) 

He had so much fun making friends with students from all over Australia
