Principal's Report
Dear Parents and Carers,
May God's blessing go with us today. At the end of this school year we pray, that you keep us safe and give us rest, so we start again renewed and refreshed. Full of health, full of fun, ready to come and learn again. May God's blessing go with us today, as we begin our school holiday. Give your peace and your joy, to every girl and every boy. Help the teachers enjoy the break, and prepare and plan for the new intake. May God's blessings await us next year, to embrace each new challenge without fear. Fill this school with your love, and guide our hearts from above. Full of faith, full of hope, full of joy, and full of love. Amen.
This being the final Newsletter for the school year, I would like to pass on every blessing to you and your family for the Christmas season and the summer break. May you experience the joy and peace that the birth of Christ can bring. Thank you for your support during this year. Even though there were significant disruptions with COVID restrictions at the beginning of the year, and a lot of student and staff illness in the middle of the year, there was a lot of progress made with student learning and wellbeing. It is lovely that we get to finish the year by joining together as a school community at the Christmas Carols tonight and at Mass tomorrow.
I would also like to thank and farewell the families who finish their time at St John's this year. We thank you for contributions to our school community over the years and wish you and your children every best wish for the future.

Staffing
This year we are sadly farewelling Mrs Shea, Miss Day, Mr Dahler, Mr Rolfe (part-time) and Miss Firth (part-time) who have been successful in pursuing employment in other schools. We thank each of them for their contributions to our school community and we wish them the very best in their new endeavours.
In 2023 we welcome back Mr Nash who is returning from a year’s leave, and Mrs Severyn will be returning in a part-time capacity after a period of maternity leave. It will be great to have them back in our school community. We also welcome Mrs Leah Skinner back to St John’s.
