Deputy Principal Report
HOLY WEEK
Holy Week is one of the most significant events of the Liturgical Year. It begins on Palm Sunday, the 6th Sunday of Lent, and finishes at the conclusion of the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday evening. The events of Holy Week are told as a continuous narrative.
This week our school was able to highlight the important events of Holy Week. Each morning, students led our community in prayer and reflection. Congratulations to the students and teachers in every grade for preparing a beautiful liturgical celebration during this special time for our church.
Monday 3 April -
Kindergarten and Year 1 together reenacted Jesus coming into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.
Tuesday 4 April -
Year 2 - Washing of the feet
Year 3 - Last Supper
Year 4 - Garden of Gethsemane
Year 5 - Arrest of Jesus
Wednesday 5 April -
Year 6 created the Stations of the Cross.
A special thank you to Mrs Hampton, our Religious Education Coordinator, for planning this Holy Week reflection. Also special thanks to Ms Johnson for organising all the drama elements of this event for our school.
It was wonderful to see Fr John and many parents and carers join our community over the past few mornings.
As we journey towards the end of Lent, we wish all our families and staff a happy and safe Easter break.
P & F EASTER RAFFLE
Thank you to all those in the P & F for organising our Easter Raffle this term. We also thank the school community for their support in purchasing tickets. The Easter Raffle was drawn today. Congratulations to all the winners in the raffle.
