On Friday 23 March four student representatives attended the WEN (Wollongong Environment Network) Primary Connect day held at Our Lady Help of Christians Rosemeadow. The day was an opportunity for the students and teachers to interact with their peers from other primary schools from the Wollongong Diocese to discuss how their school is addressing Pope Francis’ call for environmental change inspired by his encyclical (Papal letter) to the whole world, Laudato Si’. It was an inspiring day where the students came up with some fantastic ideas on how to improve the environmental practices here at St Johns. A big thank you to our new Year 6 Environmental Leaders Chelsea, Harry, Jasmine and Jayden for participation on the day.
