ART CLUB

Last week during art club, we reflected on the new season of Pentecost and discussed the symbols and the importance of the Holy Spirit. We spoke about flames and considered the use of warm colours before creating our artwork inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Students attending art club shared their experience-

Nuhamin: It's good not to be on a noisy playground. Art club is peaceful, quiet and relaxing without any noise.

Bethany: It’s when I do art, it’s really fun doing art. I feel happy and excited in art club.

Demi: I love colouring.

Sofia: I like using gel pens, making pictures and doing fun things.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES

Another reminder that the Accessible Parking Spaces is only for those who have a parking permit for that space. There have been some parents and carers who have parked in these spaces during school dismissal. We would ask that these spots be left available for those members of the community who really need them who have the appropriate permit visible. Thank you for your consideration of this matter. 

POLICE LIAISON TO DISCUSS ONLINE SAFETY

Tomorrow, Senior Constable Michel will meet with our Stage 3 students to discuss online safety. It will be another opportunity for students to learn about important issues when they are engaged in an online environment. 

The aim of the discussion is to:

• identify and establish personal online safety boundaries, particularly when participating in online chats
• develop skills to identify problematic situations which may impact their online safety 
• consider appropriate help-seeking and reporting strategies for dealing with unsafe situations online.
