Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

Lord, You send out Your Spirit to touch the hearts of all people,
so that they may believe in You and in Jesus whom You sent.
Look kindly on all candidates for Confirmation
as they listen to Your voice.
Open their hearts to Your Spirit and bring to fulfillment
the good work that You have begun in them.
Deepen their faith in the Gospel
and help them to pass it on by their example.
We pray that You will continue to guide them and sustain them.
Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday nights, several of our students will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation in our Parish. As the final sacrament of Initiation, participating in this special sacramental program strengthens our relationship with Christ and confirms our commitment to be witness to his loving word in our world. I pray that the Holy Spirit touches the hearts of all the candidates and that they feel strengthened by his love.

Jeans 4 Genes & Hoodie/Oodie day

This Friday we are supporting two causes. Firstly, we are acknowledging Jeans 4 Genes Day. Please follow this link to find out more about this charity. One of our families has a 3 year-old daughter, Emilia, who has a genetic disorder which is affecting her growth and development. This Youtube video helps to explain more about Emilia and how her family are seeking a better understanding of her condition. The Jeans 4 Genes website also has a link for you to donate in support of the medical research that is being undertaken in this area.

Also on Friday, our school's Mini Vinnies group is supporting St Peter's school in Samoa. Fr Feleki visited this school on a recent visit to his family, and discovered that they are in desperate need for resources. Children are asked to bring in a gold coin donation, for which they can wear a hoodie our oodie. Money raised by our school will be used to purchase some sports equipment for St Peter's school.

So, this Friday, your child can wear mufti including a pair of jeans (or something in denim - even a piece of denim pinned to their clothing) and a hoodie or oodie, and bring in a gold coin donation.

Wishing you a great week,

Paul Moroney
