Dear Parents and Carers,

Lord, You send out Your Spirit to touch the hearts of all people,
so that they may believe in You and in Jesus whom You sent.
Look kindly on all candidates for Confirmation
as they listen to Your voice.
Open their hearts to Your Spirit and bring to fulfilment
the good work that You have begun in them.
Deepen their faith in the Gospel
and help them to pass it on by their example.
We pray that You will continue to guide them and sustain them.
Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

This evening the final celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation will take place in our parish, at which a number of our students will receive the grace of God through the Holy Spirit. This brings to a culmination a period of preparation for the children and their families. Our school acknowledges the dedication of Mrs Hampton, Miss Polsen, Miss Ryan, Mrs Glen and Mrs Menzies for leading the workshop groups. Also, thanks go to the Parish Sacramental Team, Fr John, Fr Feleki and Fr Richard.

Annual Parish Celebration

You may recall that last year the Parish held a big celebration for the 200 year anniversary of the first Mass being said in the Macarthur. Following on from the success of that occasion, the parish are hosting and Annual Parish Celebration on Sunday 27 August. It will begin with Mass under the school COLA at 10.00am, followed by food stalls provided by the various cultural groups and entertainment. Some of our student are going to be involved in the Mass and the entertainment. Our school is a significant part of the parish and so all families are encouraged to join in this parish celebration.

Diocese of Wollongong

The diocese of which our school and parish belong has recently updated its information about the services that it provides. When you read through this information you may be surprised by how much the diocese is doing and its broad reach across the community. There is more than just churches and schools!

P & F Meeting

Following on from the success of the Trivia Night, you are all invited to the next P & F Meeting being held Tuesday 15 August at 6.30pm.
