Principal's Report
Dear Parents and Carers,
Lord, you invite all to come to you.
Allow your healing hand to heal me.
Touch my soul with your compassion for others.
Touch my heart with your courage and infinite love for all.
Touch my mind with your wisdom, that my mouth may always proclaim your praise.
Teach me to reach out to you in my need and help me to lead others to you by my example.
Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring me health in body and spirit that I may serve you with all my strength.
Touch gently this life which you have created, now and forever. Amen
RUOK? Day - Wellbeing Week
This week at school we are focussing on wellbeing in conjunction with RUOK? Day which is tomorrow, September 14. During this week we have been encouraging students and staff to consider ways in which they can attend to their physical, social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Each morning we have been doing a whole school health hustle to get our bodies moving, a positive affirmation display has been created and tomorrow children can wear mufti to school (yellow or bright colours). We have also been encouraging the children to become aware of their friends moods and feelings and to have the courage to ask them if they are okay.
RUOK? is a public health promotion charity that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times in their lives. RUOK? encourages people to invest more time in their personal relationships and build the capacity of informal support networks – friends, family and colleagues - to be alert to those around them, have a conversation if they identify signs of distress or difficulty and connect someone to appropriate support, long before they're in crisis.
You are encouraged to spend some time looking at the RUOK? website to gain an insight into history and purpose.
Last day of Term 3 for students
