Principal's Report
Dear Parents/Carers,
Heavenly Father,
As I enter another week of my Lenten journey, guide me to the path that leads to you. Fill my heart with gratitude, patience, strength, and peace as I strive to become the best version of myself. As I renew my resolve each day to become a better person, let me hear your voice in the deepest reaches of my heart. Give me rest in you. Stay with me through the busy days this week and remind me that when I need comfort, solitude, wisdom, or guidance, I can always turn to you. In your name I pray,
Amen.
As we are now in the second week of Lent, it might be timely to do a self check-in regarding our reconnection with God. How are we going with the deepening of our relationship with God through our interactions with others? Are we committing to some form of outreach toward those in need? Have we been giving ourself some space to listen to God through prayer?
Parish Welcome Mass
Fr John, Fr Richard and the St John's Parish community invite all new families to a welcome Mass being held on Sunday 3 March at 9.00am. The children are asked to bring their school bag with them so that Fr John can give your child (and their bag) a blessing as a symbol of belonging to, and journeying with, the parish.
Our school is an integral part of the parish and so, regardless of your family’s level of connection or commitment to our church, you are all very welcome to attend this Mass as a way of helping your child feel a part of the parish.
P & F Meeting
Next Monday 4 March is the AGM of the Parents & Friends' (P & F) Association. It commences at 7.00pm and will be held in the Tiered Learning Space (entry via the Kindergarten classrooms. New parents and carers are particularly welcome to attend. The meetings are a great way to contribute to the social and fundraising efforts of the association, as well as keeping informed of the operations of the school.
School Open Day
Our School Open Day is being held next Wednesday 6 March from 9.00-11.00am. Its purpose is to give prospective families the opportunity to look around our school and get a sense of the opportunities we provide at St John's.
A morning tea is provided for our visitors and the help of any existing parents and carers would be greatly appreciated. Please let the office know if you can be of assistance.
Wishing you a safe and blessed week,
