Principal's Report

Originator of all creation, you made a world full of beauty,
an infinite expression of your glory and love for all.

Let us not forget the gift we have been given,
that we may continue to act as guardians and stewards of all your creation.

Fill us with awe and wonder today and each day as we behold your infinite creativity. Give us the courage and strength to view and engage our environment as the sacred space it is and to work to protect it from corruption and exploitation.

May we view all you have created with reverence and admiration,
that we may be reminded of your constant presence in our midst.

As we walk each day, let us remember all those who have come before and walked these same lands.

We must not forget that what we have been given is not only for us, but for the generations to come. Let us cultivate a world teeming with life, where a safe enriching environment is abundant enough for all, that God's love and glory may shine through for generations to come.

Dear Parents and Carers,

Last Sunday, 1 September, was the annual World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. This celebration started among the Orthodox churches of the world in 1989, and in 2015 Pope Francis declared that the Catholic Church would also recognise this significant global gesture. The theme this year is "Hope and Act with Creation" and in his message this year, Pope Francis encourages us to extend the harmony that can exist among humanity to creation in the sense of it being our common home. You can view a summary of his message at this Youtube clip.

CatholicCare parent workshop
I commend to you a workshop that CatholicCare is running at our school tonight, Wednesday 4 September 6.00-7.00pm. Titled 'Social Media and Your Child' the workshop will provide you with strategies that may assist in supporting your children as they navigate the world of social media. A flyer for this event is included in this Newsletter, and it has previously been pushed out on Compass. If you would prefer to attend via zoom, just use this link.
Last day of Term 3
As has been mentioned in the Dates to Remember section of our Newsletter, the last day of this term for the students is Thursday 26 September. If you need it for your children, Aspire is providing all-day care on Friday 27 September.
God bless,
