REMEMBRANCE DAY

On Monday, 11 November it was Remembrance Day. Our staff and students had an opportunity to pray and engage in a Remembrance Day Service. Thank you to Mrs Guyer, Mr Nash and some of our Year 6 students for leading us.

On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, it is a special time to remember those who have fought and died for our country. Millions of people around the world pause in silence to mark Remembrance Day.

In Australia, one minute’s silence is observed at 11am. Ceremonies are held around the nation and many schools join in the commemorations.

It is a chance for us to think about those who have fought and died in conflicts and peace-keeping missions since World War I.  

TRANSITION TO SCHOOL PLAYGROUP

Over the past four weeks we have had the privilege of having our 2025 Kindergarten students and their families join us for our Transition to School Playgroup.

Thank you to all the children and their families who have taken the opportunity to participate in this program. It was evident that there were some genuine connections made between the children, parents and teachers.

Thanks again to Mrs Gilbert and Miss Witheridge for coordinating our playgroup. Thanks also to the Kindergarten Teachers, other staff and P & F for their support over the weeks.

Kindergarten Orientation will commence for the children on Thursday, 21 November. It is our aim that they become more familiar with our school environment, the teachers and with one another.
