Deputy Principal Report

PARENT COMMUNICATION SURVEY

One of our goals this year was to improve parent communication regarding student learning.

- Consistent, creative and accessible parent communication methods between school, families and the broader community.

After seeking your opinion and input earlier this year, we are wishing to gain feedback from parents/carers as to the overall impact the school has had in regards to communication, particularly in relation to student learning.

In reflecting on your response, you may wish to consider the following:

- The implementation of Seesaw

- Term Overviews

- Student reports

- Parent/Teacher meetings

- Compass

- PP Meetings

- Infants/Primary Assemblies

- Facebook page

- Face to face informal conversations before and after school

- Phone conversations

- Email correspondence

The data collected will help us to make further adjustments in this area to support our students and families.

Please click on the link to complete the survey. It could take as little as 30 seconds to complete- Parent Communication- Feedback Survey.

Thank you in anticipation for your time to reflect and share your feedback.

FIRST RECONCILIATION

Many of our Year 2 students will make their First Reconciliation next Tuesday, 26 November at 5:00pm & 6:30pm. They have been busy participating in the sacramental program on a Monday or Tuesday.

Thank you to many of our staff members and the Parish Sacramental Team for their hard work in preparing the children at the workshops alongside their parents and carers.

Please keep these children and their families in your thoughts and prayers for the remainder of November.

THE FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING- SUNDAY, 24 NOVEMBER

The Feast of Christ the King was introduced to the liturgical calendar by Pope Pius XI in 1925. The establishment of the feast took place in a world that had suffered through the First World War and was unknowingly heading towards the Second World War. In this setting, the world was experiencing a dramatic growth in secularism and an even more dramatic growth in dictators who were rising to power in various states. The introduction of the feast was a call back from the secular and a call to remember Christ as having authority above and beyond any earthly leader.

We will recognise the feast with a special prayer at our Monday morning assembly next week.

KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION- COMMENCES TOMORROW

Our Kindergarten orientation program for our 2025 students and their families commences tomorrow. This is the first of four sessions. The orientation is designed to introduce families to our learning environment, provide essential information and make new connections.

Starting kindergarten is a milestone that sets the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Our goal is to create a warm, welcoming environment where families feel confident and excited about the transition to Primary school.
