Deputy Principal Report
PARENT COMMUNICATION SURVEY
One of our goals this year was to improve parent communication regarding student learning.
- Consistent, creative and accessible parent communication methods between school, families and the broader community.
Thank you to the parents/carers who were able to take the time to complete our ‘Parent Communication Survey’.
We greatly value the data collected and will use this to help us make further adjustments in this area to support our students and families. Below is the response to the question asked in the survey and some of the comments regarding communication.
In 2025 we will organise a workshop with parents/carers in regards to the SeeSaw application. We also plan to have meetings to provide insights into how the curriculum is taught in particular Key Learning Areas.
We will continue to work alongside parents/carers to improve with communication for the benefit of our children.

DOGS CONNECT PROGRAM
Our Dogs Connect Program has continued to be successful throughout this year. Maple continues to visit classrooms and be a presence during learning time. Our team also supports individual students to support their well being. Due to circumstances Maple has not been able to attend every Monday, Thursday and Friday of this term but has still had a positive impact.
YEAR 6 EXCURSION TO CANBERRA
Our Year 6 students and teachers had a memorable and enriching experience last Thursday, 28 November & Friday, 29 November at the heart of our nation's capital, Canberra. The excursion allowed them to delve into the history, culture, and government of our great country.
The Year 6 students were a credit to their families, teachers and our school. Their behaviour overall was outstanding. Many positive remarks were made from guides and members of the public about the children’s behaviour, good manners and wearing their uniform with pride.
It was a valuable learning experience for all the children. Apart from the opportunities to learn at the different venues, there were also times where the students were learning about life skills.
Special thanks to Mrs Afchal, Miss Clarke, Mr Nash, Mr Toohey, Mrs Walker and Mr Williams for their dedication and time away from their families to support the Year 6 students with this overnight excursion.
ANNUAL SWIMMING CARNIVAL
A reminder that this Friday, 6 December, our Years 3-6 students will participate in our annual swimming carnival held at The Gordon Fetterplace Aquatic Centre, Bradbury. We look forward to a day filled with spirited competition and of course, lots of fun in the water!
