CONFIRMATION
This coming weekend will be a time of great joy for our school and parish community as we warmly welcome Bishop Brian Mascord, who will confer the sacrament of Confirmation to those students who are in Year 6. This is the third sacrament of initiation following on from Baptism and First Holy Communion.
Through the sacrament of Confirmation, we pray that the Holy Spirit will come upon those receiving the sacrament, just as it happened to the disciples of Jesus at Pentecost. We pray that the coming of the Holy Spirit will inspire, nourish and support those who are now considered to be fully initiated and confirm the faith that will be a source of strength into adulthood.
