Deputy Principal Report
TERM 1 CLASS CAPTAINS
It is wonderful to be recognised for leadership qualities. We have had many students from years 1 - 6 recognised for such qualities by their peers and teachers at our Monday morning assembly. We congratulate those children who have been selected as Class Captains for this term and look forward to providing opportunities in which they can demonstrate their leadership skills.
We are confident that our student leaders will be great examples for others demonstrating our Good Samaritan values and ‘Walking in Peace and Joy’. Their names are below:

SCHOOL OPEN DAY
Come beyond our school gate and discover the fantastic opportunities offered at St John the Evangelist during our upcoming Open Day on Wednesday, 26 February: 9am-11am. If you’re interested in enrolling your child, it’s a great chance to take a tour of the school, chat with our friendly teachers, and meet other families.
We’d love for you to extend this invitation to another family who may be interested by clicking below:
MEET & GREETS
Thank you to parents/carers for their attendance at our ‘Meet and Greets’ this week. The purpose of this is to provide a greater insight into the learning and well being needs of the children in our care.
The feedback from these meetings has been positive by parents, carers and teachers. If there are any matters that arise during the year about your child, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
THANK YOU FOR THE DONATIONS- SUPPORT STILL REQUIRED
As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, a family in our community lost everything in a devastating fire last Christmas Eve, and they need our help to rebuild their lives.
We are still asking for monetary donations as well as essential items such as clothing and household goods. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in their recovery. Please contact the office if you have items that you would like to donate.
A ‘GoFundMe’ page has been created to assist with monetary donations for the family. Thanks to the kindness and support of our generous community $1,465 has already been raised.
If you are able to assist finanacially and have not yet had the opportunity as yet, please click on the link below:
