TELL THEM FROM ME SURVEY
It is with gratitude to the many parents/carers for taking the time to complete the 'Tell Them From Me Survey'. Your participation is invaluable in maintaining our commitment to working together in partnership to further enhance student learning and wellbeing at St John the Evangelist, Campbelltown.
Your feedback provides us with essential insights into identifying areas of strength and areas for improvement. Through your thoughtful responses, we gain a deeper understanding of how we can better support our students in their educational journey and foster a nurturing environment that promotes their overall wellbeing.
Our school firmly believes in the power of collaboration between home and school. Your active involvement reinforces this belief and strengthens the bond between our community and our shared goal of providing the best possible educational experience for our students.
Please know that your input is highly valued and we will share the data with you in upcoming weeks as we continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of our school community.
The survey will actually close on Friday, 30 May 2025. It is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. You are able to access the parent survey on your computer or mobile device by using the URL below:

NATIONAL SORRY DAY
National Sorry Day is coming up on Monday, 26 May. It’s a time for all of us to stop and remember the Stolen Generations—Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who were taken from their families.
This important day also kicks off the Week of Prayer for Reconciliation, leading into National Reconciliation Week, which runs from 27 May to 3 June each year.
The theme for Reconciliation Week 2025 is "Bridging Now to Next", all about connecting where we are today with a better, more united future.
Today, some of our Stage 3 students represented our school at a Sorry Day Service at Minto. The students represented our school with pride as they demonstrated reverence throughout the ceremony. During the ceremony there were different presentations that highlighted Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and also in remembrance of the Stolen Generations. We thank Ms Polsen (Aboriginal & Torres Strait Island Contact) and Miss Janelle (Aboriginal Education Assistant) for their support of this event and our students.
MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS FEAST DAY- 24 MAY
Last Friday, we celebrated the Feast of Mary, Help of Christians through a special prayer. She is the patron of our country, Australia. We celebrate the many gifts God has given us here in Australia – one people from many parts of our world, the beauty of our country, the freedom and peace that we are so lucky to enjoy.
We look to Mary for her help, her protection and her guidance. We try to follow her example of love and strength in everything we do.
Mary, The Mother of God, is given many titles or names such as:
Mary, first among disciples
Mary, Mother for all people
Mary, woman of faith
Mary, Queen of Peace
These are just some of her titles, but today, we remember her as Mary, Help of Christians.
Almighty God our Father,
You placed the love of Mary Help of Christians
in the hearts of those who first brought the Catholic faith to Australia.
We ask, that with Mary’s help,
our leaders can be wise and that we can all be people of truth and goodness.
Under Mary’s protection, may Australia be filled with harmony, justice and peace.
Amen.
