Principal Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

God of Reconciliation,
Give us the courage to build a world of justice, equality, compassion and peace for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander sisters and brothers.
Help us now more than ever to understand their hopes and aspirations so that we may
all live with dignity and pride in this great land.
Help us now more than ever to build bridges. We pray for your spirit to be upon us as
we work towards reconciliation, and we entrust our efforts into your hands.
We make our prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen

National Reconciliation Week

We are now in the midst of National Reconciliation Week which is held each year between 27 May and 3 June.

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2025 is, Bridging Now to Next.

For us, as a Catholic school, reconciliation holds a special meaning. Our faith teaches us about forgiveness, understanding, and the importance of treating every person with dignity and respect, just as Jesus taught us. National Reconciliation Week encourages us to put these values into action, particularly in our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This week provides us with a wonderful opportunity to:

  • Learn: Discover more about the rich and ancient cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, who have cared for this land for thousands of years.
  • Reflect: Think about the past and how we can work together to build a more just and equitable future for everyone.
  • Act: Consider what we can do, even as young people, to show respect, build understanding, and help our community grow stronger together.

We encourage you to talk with your children at home about National Reconciliation Week. It's a chance for us all to remember that we are all part of one big family, and by walking together with open hearts and minds, we can help build a truly reconciled Australia for future generations.

Students do not come to school on these days.

With every blessing for the week ahead,
