Principal Report

Dear God,

We thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to your Apostles and to us.

Thank you for the gifts of the Holy Spirit – for wisdom, understanding, courage, and kindness.

Help us to use these gifts to follow Jesus, to love one another, and to share your good news with everyone we meet.

Fill our hearts with your Holy Spirit, so we can be your loving hands and feet in the world. Amen.

    Dear Parents and Carers,

This Sunday our church celebrates Pentecost. You might hear it called the "Birthday of the Church," and for good reason. Pentecost happens 50 days after Easter, and it celebrates a truly incredible event: when the Holy Spirit came down upon Mary and the Apostles.

Imagine this: The Apostles were gathered together, feeling a little bit lost and unsure after Jesus had ascended into heaven. Suddenly, there was a sound like a strong wind, and something amazing happened – what looked like flames of fire appeared over each of their heads. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and suddenly had the courage and power to go out and share the Good News of Jesus with everyone, even speaking in different languages so everyone could understand.

This was the moment the Church truly began its mission. The Holy Spirit gave the Apostles the gifts they needed to be brave and spread Jesus' message of love and hope to the whole world.

As Catholics, we are reminded of the wonderful gifts He gives us, like wisdom, understanding, courage, and kindness. These gifts help us to be better followers of Jesus and to make a positive difference in our own lives and in the lives of others.

    P & F Meeting

You are reminded that the next P & F Meeting will be held this Thursday 5 June 8.45-9.45am in the Hall, before the whole-school Pentecost Mass. There will be an option to attend via Zoom. All are welcome.

Staff Development Days for Term 2

You are reminded of the two Staff Development Days being held this term:

    • Friday 6 June
    • Friday 4 July (this means the end of Term 2 for the students is Thursday 3 July)

Students do not come to school on these days.

With every blessing for the week ahead,

    Paul Moroney

    Principal
