HALF YEARLY REPORTS & PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Your child/ren's Semester One Report will be available to view on your Compass Portal under "view academic reports" at the end of Week 9. These reports provide a comprehensive overview of your child's progress and achievements over the past semester. If you have any trouble accessing your child’s report please contact the office as soon as possible.

During Week 10 (30 June-3 July) we will have the opportunity for our half-yearly parent-teacher interviews. These interviews are essential for fostering a collaborative environment that supports the student's academic and personal development. It ensures that both parents and teachers are aligned in their efforts to help the student succeed.

Next week, a Compass message will be shared with parents/carers to select their interview time(s) via our online booking system. Once logged in you will be able to enter your details, choose your teacher, then pick the time available that is most suitable for you.

ACU STUDENTS BEGIN THEIR TEACHER PLACEMENT

This term we welcome five students from the Australian Catholic University who are completing their Teacher Placement at St John’s. These students are currently completing their degree in Primary Education.

It is crucial that opportunities like this one are provided for the next generation of Primary School Educators. We welcome them and hope they learn lots while being part of our special community.

SVDP WINTER APPEAL

Over the last few weeks, the efforts of our St John’s community have been immense, living our Catholic social teaching- preferential treatment for the poor. A heartfelt thank you to everyone for coming together to ensure we can make a difference in our local community and providing for those most vulnerable and in need.

This generosity was made evident by Jesus' teaching on the poor to help to build a more compassionate world.  Throughout the Bible, and especially in the Gospel narratives of the life of Jesus, we see many examples of God’s special concern for the poor and the powerless.

The donations of our K-6 students and families will go a long way during the winter season to provide comfort and warmth during the coldest months.

Thank you to Ms Afchal and the Mini Vinnies students for continuing to promote this important initiative.
