Principal Report

Heavenly Father,

As this school term comes to a close, we give You heartfelt thanks for all the blessings we have received. Thank You for the gift of learning, for the growth of our students, and for the dedication of our teachers and staff. We are grateful for the friendships made, the lessons learned, and the challenges overcome.

We now ask for Your loving protection over our entire school community as we enter the holiday break. Keep our students, families, and staff safe and well in their travels and activities. May this time be filled with rest, joy, and precious moments with loved ones, so that we may all return refreshed and ready for the new term. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear Parents/Carers,

As we approach the end of Term 2, I would like to pass on my thanks to you for your ongoing support of our school. The students' overall wellbeing and growth in faith and learning is positively impacted when they know their parents and teachers are working together. I trust that the recent academic report and parent/teacher interviews have provided you with the opportunity to celebrate your child's progress, and to find out ways in which we can all support their targeted areas of improvement.

I pray that the upcoming two-week break for the children provides them with an opportunity to enjoy some time to engage in activities that they may not get the time to do during the school term. The children are kept very busy at school and, as the term progresses, it is noticeable that their 'batteries need replenishing.' I hope that you get some time during the student break to enjoy some time away from the normal routines of work and family life.

NAIDOC Week

The celebration of NAIDOC Week 2024 is from 6-13 July 2024 and is an opportunity for all Australians to come together to celebrate and recognise the contributions and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s NAIDOC Week theme of The Next generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy which celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of young leaders, the vision of communities, and the legacy of ancestors.

During NAIDOC, we remember the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of our country and celebrate their rich cultures and inspiring contributions to Australia.

Tomorrow our students are asked to help celebrate NAIDOC Week by dressing in mufti in the colours of the Aboriginal flag - red, black and yellow.

Congratulations Fr John

This weekend, Fr John will be celebrating his 30th Anniversary of Ordination and his 70th birthday. Our school community passes on our heartfelt thanks to Fr John for all that he does as our Parish Priest: supporting our liturgical program each year; leading the sacramental programs; and, contributing to many of the decisions that are made for the planning and organisation of the school. Being a priest comes with many significant sacrifices and challenges, and we congratulate him on his dedication and commitment to his vocation. You are very welcome to join the celebrations being held this Saturday 5 July at 11.00am in the church.

With every blessing for the student holiday break. I look forward to seeing you next term.
