Mini Vinnies
Winter Appeal Concludes with Overwhelming Generosity!
Our Mini Vinnies Winter Appeal has officially wrapped up, and I am truly humbled by the incredible generosity shown by our school community. The volume of donations we've received for our less fortunate community members is simply astounding. Each item will make a tangible difference in the lives of those experiencing hardship this winter, and for that, I extend my deepest gratitude. Your kindness truly embodies the spirit of compassion that Mini Vinnies strives to uphold, acting as the very face and hands of Christ in your service to others.
Term 3 Sleep-Out Experience for Years 5 & 6
Looking ahead to Term 3, I am excited to announce a powerful learning opportunity for our Year 5 and 6 students: a sleep-out evening at school! This experience will give students a small glimpse into what it might feel like to be homeless during the colder months, as they will "sleep" for a duration at school. This initiative aims to foster empathy and understanding for those facing homelessness in our community. More details, including permission notes, will be sent home soon.
Opening Doors of Faith: A Focus for Mini Vinnies
This term and next, Mini Vinnies will be focusing on 'opening doors' of faith, especially as we participate in the Year of Pilgrims of Hope. We'll explore how our actions and faith can open doors to new possibilities, understanding, and compassion for ourselves and others. I look forward to exploring this theme in greater depth through our upcoming weekly meetings.
