survey.png

Last term we invited the community to take part in the ‘Tell Them From Me Survey’- students, parents and teachers. The data collected provides us with essential insights into identifying areas of strength and areas for improvement.

We thank the 85 parents who participated in the TTFM Survey. A snapshot of the data has been summarised below:

  • Catholic ethos is strong throughout the school

Interesting/Areas of improvement

  • Communication has improved

  • Limited support for extending students
  • The need for activities in the morning before the bell - Health hustle
  • Several comments that they would like to know prior to P/T meetings about any learning concerns

As a school we appreciate any feedback provided by parents to improve our school. We have begun to address some of these areas with our Reading Club & Health Hustle which has commenced this term before school. Staff are engaging in professional learning to support students that require extension with their learning. We will continue to strive towards improving the learning and well being of our students.

P & F PROVIDE FUNDING FOR NEW SPORTS/PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our P & F (Parents and Friends) who have contributed to fundraising efforts this year. Thanks to their generosity, our school now has fantastic new sports equipment, including portable soccer goals, volleyball nets, soccer balls, basketballs, target nets and nets for the basketball rings.

This equipment will greatly enhance our students' physical education classes and sports programs, and will also be available for use during lunch breaks. This new equipment provides more opportunities for students to develop their skills and stay active. The support of our P & F makes a real difference in our school community, and we are so appreciative of their commitment to our students' success and well-being. We thank all involved for their continued support!

WESTERN REGION ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

On Friday, 8 August, many of our students were selected to represent St John’s at the Western Region Athletics Selection Trials at Campbelltown Athletics Centre.

The students represented our school in style and participated in a range of events on the day. The most important thing was that they did their best in all the events they went in. We had lots of success throughout the day and acknowledged our athletes at Monday morning’s assembly. We congratulate all the students and those that were selected in the Western Region Team for the upcoming Diocesan Carnival.

Thanks to Mrs Sinfeld, Mrs Walker and Mrs Misiakos for supervising, supporting and organising our team. Thanks also to the parents who were able to attend to cheer our athletes on.
