Dear Parents/Carers,

This Sunday is the feast of Corpus Christi (the feast of the body of Christ). Each year on this feast day, our parish celebrates the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Many of our students will be receiving Holy Communion for the first time and so I ask that you keep these children and their families in your prayers. It promises to be a beautiful celebration, one that they will remember for many years to come.

The next parish sacrament to take place will be Confirmation and there is a notice in this Newsletter about a parent information night being held next week.

Athletics Carnival

What a great day we all had on Monday at our Athletics carnival. The children were outstanding in the way that they participated with great enthusiasm, supported each other and ensured that they kept safe during the day.

I am extremely grateful to Mrs Sinfield and Miss Davidson who took on the repsonsibility of organising the carnival. Many hours were spent in the lead up to the day ensuring that every small detail was planned. I would like to also acknowledge the parent helpers who so generously gave of their time. The succes of the day was largely reliant on your support, so we sincerely thank you.

On Monday 7th June we will be having a Green/Blue Mufti Day to acknowledge World Enironment Day.

For a Gold coin donation everyone is invited to wear green or blue MUFTI clothes but please ensure all kids wear enclosed shoes.

All money raised will go towards environmental initiatives within the school, e.g towards the gardens and composting 

On Monday 7th June, year 5 will be participating in a Resilience and Bouncing Back workshop day run by our Catholic Care Counsellors Rita & Marissa.
It will just be within a normal school day and the kids will be wearing their sports uniform.

Also during the presentation there will be a clip played from a family PG movie, If you would prefer your child not to watch this clip please advise the office.

If your child is away from school it is important to let the school know as soon as possible with a specific reason, e.g. what type of illness they have, If you are filling in a note on the Compass app, please add an explanation in the details/comments box .

Do not enter into compass if they are going to be late or leave early, that needs to be done from the school end.

It is really important to keep your child at home if they are unwell, this will help with the spread of illness. In the current COVID 19 climate ,if you child displays cold/flu symptoms, your child will be sent home and you will need to get a medical clearance and a negative covid result and be symptom free before your child can return to school 

If your child has a covid test, please notify the school when they have the test and as soon as you get your results please forward these on to the school.
