Dear Parent and Carers,
Heavenly Father, this third week of Advent, let us remember that the good news of Jesus’ birth has the power to bring us great joy this Christmas season. Our joy isn’t dependent on what is going on in our life, in our world, or the people that we are with. Our joy comes from you. That joy that flooded the hearts of the shepherds, the angels, the wise men and Mary and Joseph is the joy that still has the power to overwhelm our hearts with rejoicing. Flood our hearts with joy this Advent season as we reflect on the good news of Jesus’ birth. Amen.
As we get ever closer to the joy that Christmas brings to all, I pray that you and your family is able to celebrate with family and friends. After a year that brought such disconnection due to the lockdown and restrictions, may you all find moments of joy with your loved ones.

We all hope that in 2022 we can stay in face-to-face learning for the whole year.

Family Christmas Welcome.
As the festive season approaches and in the spirit of Christmas giving, an event is being organised to reach out to, meet the Afghan families and distribute donations on Saturday, December 18 from 8am to 12 at the St John’s Parish Hall.
Details are still being finalised and we are asking for the continuing support of the St John’s Parish to ensure success on the day. If you can help set up, welcome families, or assist with packing up on the day, please contact the presbytery office and leave your contact details. You will be contacted by Trish Coffey and further details for the day will be published in parish bulletin next week.
Thank you for the support over the last months, it has made a huge difference to the families arriving in the area.
