Dear Parents/Carers,
Lord, I pray for your hand of safety and guidance upon all the victims of the recent floods. Bless these people and keep them safe. Drive back the floods to protect their homes and their precious animals. Bless the first responders and the volunteers working to keep people safe. God, I pray you would quiet the storms and chase the rain clouds away. Amen.
Just when our lives seemed to be resembling something similar to pre-COVID times, along came the recent severe weather. I pray that you have been able to keep safe over the past week. If you have been badly impacted by the recent rain and flooding, please reach out to our school if there is anything we can assist you with.
Thank you again for your support of our request to keep children home yesterday if you were able. As well as reducing the number of people having to commute, we have a number of staff who either live in flood affected areas and couldn’t get to work or who have been on high alert. I pray that the next few days will give us all some reprieve. I am reminded of a mantra that was well used during the pandemic - “This too shall pass.” In the meantime, stay safe and take care of yourselves.
P & F Meeting
An important part of our school community is our Parents & Friends’ Association (P & F). The primary aim of the association is to assist in creating a connected school community. They do this by providing a range of fundraising and social activities during the year. The last two years have seen significant disruption to their efforts, and so we look forward to 2022 being a year in which more can be achieved. Over the years, fundraising by the P & F has contributed significantly to the purchasing of resources for the children to use at school.
The first meeting of the P & F for this year is being held next Tuesday 15 March at 7.00pm. More information can be found in this Newsletter. I encourage you to get involved and support their great work.
Wishing you a safe and peaceful week,
