Dear Parents and Carers,
Dear God, today we give thanks for the amazing and wonderful gift of mothers. They are the backbone of families and the foundation of society. Without mothers, the world would be a darker and less caring place.
We are grateful for the tireless sacrifices that mothers make every day, the sleepless nights, the countless hours of work, and the unwavering love and devotion they give to their families. Their selflessness and strength inspire us and fill us with awe.
Lord, we ask You to bless all the mothers in the world today. Give them the strength to persevere through the challenges they face, the wisdom to guide their children in the right path, and the courage to overcome any obstacle that may come their way.
May their hearts be filled with joy and their minds with peace, knowing that their efforts are not in vain and that their love and care make a difference in the lives of those around them. Amen.
Wishing all the mum's in our school community a wonderful day this Sunday. May you be filled with the joy that comes from knowing the impact you have on the growth and wellbeing of your children. Often the thanks for all you do is infrequent, but many children at school tell us regularly how much they love and are grateful for their mum. Have a great Mother's Day.
School Athletics Carnival
I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to all the parents and carers who supported our carnival last Friday through your attendance and willingness to volunteer. It was the first carnival that I have been involved in for some years in which we had more volunteers than we needed! It was a wonderful community event and, most importantly, the children had an enjoyable day. I would also like to acknowledge Mrs Sinfield who organised the day, and all the staff who provided excellent support.
Kindergarten Interviews
We are currently meeting with families who have a child enrolling for Kindergarten in 2024. If you know of a friend or family member who would like to be part of this process, please let them know to contact our school office as soon as possible.
Staff Development Day
You are reminded that our next Staff Development Day (pupil-free) is Monday 5 June.
Wishing you a great week,
Paul Moroney
Principal
TERM 2 CLASS CAPTAINS
It is wonderful to be recognised for leadership qualities. We have had many students from years 1-6 recognised for such qualities by their peers and teachers. We congratulate the children who have been selected as Class Captains for Term 2. These students received their Class Captain badges at our Monday morning assembly.
We anticipate their great leadership this term as they demonstrate our Good Samaritan values.

SCHOOL ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
A picture perfect day occurred for our School Athletics Carnival last Friday, 5 May. Our school community enjoyed another wonderful carnival.
Congratulations to all the students for the way they participated throughout the day. It was evident how much they enjoyed it with smiles on everyone's faces. There was lots of success on and off the track.
Thank you to the parent helpers, the students from Good Samaritan Catholic College and the teachers who assisted with the running of the carnival.
A special thank you to Mrs Sinfeld for all her hard work in planning and organising the day.
TERM 1 UNIFORM FOCUS- HOUSE COLOUR COMPETITION
The tokens for our house colour competition were counted at the beginning of this term. Tokens were given to students for wearing the correct school uniform throughout Term 1.
After the tokens were counted, the average amount of tokens for each house was calculated to make it fair. It was incredibly close with Polding House (Blue) having the most number of tokens and the highest average amount of tokens per student just. Congratulations to the students in this house who will be able to wear mufti and receive a Zooper Dooper next Wednesday, 17 May.
