Dear Parents and Carers,
We give our thanks, Creator God, for the fathers in our lives.
Fatherhood does not come with a manual, and reality teaches us that some fathers excel while others fail.
We ask for Your blessings for them all and forgiveness where it is needed.
This Father's Day we remember the many sacrifices fathers make for their children and families, and the ways--both big and small--they lift children to achieve dreams thought beyond reach.
So too, we remember all those who have helped fill the void when fathers pass early or are absent; grandfathers and uncles, brothers and cousins, teachers, pastors and coaches and the women of our families.
For those who are fathers, we ask for wisdom and humility in the face of the task of parenting. Give them the strength to do well by their children and by You.
In Your Holy name, O God, we pray.
Amen.
I would like to wish each of our dads, grandparents, fatherly figures a wonderful day this Sunday. I hope you get the opportunity to spend some quality time with those you love.
Next Monday from 11.00am-11.45am you are invited to come along to school and bring a morning tea picnic to share with your children during their playtime in honour of Father's Day. The P & F has also organised a coffee cart during this time.
Annual Parish Celebration
I would like to thank the families who were able to attend the Annual Parish Celebration last Sunday. It was such a vibrant and colourful event and it was wonderful seeing so many of our children play a part in the Mass and the entertainment. The food on offer was also fantastic, just as good as some of the best street food I have come across! The whole day was a great testament to the energy, enthusiasm and diversity that exists in our parish.
New Playground
Many of you may have seen the new playground located near the basketball courts. We are currently waiting for final approval before being able to use it, which hopefully will be at the end of this week. Once it is open, we will be giving each class an opportunity to explore it and to become familiar with the expectations required to keep everyone safe. It will then be able to be used during playtime, on a rotational basis.
It will certainly be a great asset to our playground and I would like to thank The Campbelltown Catholic Club and the P & F Association for providing the funding that was required.
Wishing you a great week,
Paul Moroney
Principal
