St Augustine’s Prayer
Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit,
That my thoughts may all be holy.
Act in me, O Holy Spirit,
That my work, too, may be holy.
Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit,
That I love but what is holy.
Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit,
To defend all that is holy.
Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit,
That I always may be holy.
Dear Parents/Carers,
Several of our Year 6 students will join other members of the parish tonight and tomorrow night to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. This significant event culminates a period of preparation in which the candidates have committed themselves to continue developing their life as a Christian. The ceremony will be led by our Bishop and includes a special blessing that the Holy Spirit will guide the candidates, gifting them with wisdom, understanding.
A sacramental program like this requires a lot of planning and organisation, and I would like to thank Fr John, Fr Richard, the Parish Sacramental Team, Miss Costello, Miss Polsen, Mrs Brticevich, Mrs Marten, Mrs Glen and Miss Johnson for all that they did to support the students and their families.
Olympathon Day
It has been exciting watching our athletes compete in the Olympics, and this Friday our students get the chance to get into the Olympic spirit. I would like to thank the P & F for organising this day and encourage as many of you as possible to come along and provide some help where you can. The P & F will be seeking lots of helping hands.
New student toilets
Here are a couple pf photos showing the new student toilets and the demolition of the old toilets and canteen. There has certainly been a lot of excitement from students as they watched the demolition take place this week!

TERM 3 CLASS CAPTAINS REMINDER
On Monday, 5 August, Term 3 Class Captains will receive their badge at our morning assembly. We will inform parents via Compass before this Friday, who our Term 3 Class Captains are, so you might be available to grab a photo and see your child receive their badge.
We are confident that our student leaders will be great examples for others and demonstrate our Good Samaritan values, ‘Walking in Peace and Joy.’
KINDERGARTEN EXCURSION- CALMSLEY HILL FARM

Supporting Jeans for Genes Day
One of our Year 6 students, Liliana, has a younger sister with a developmental disorder and receives support from Jeans for Genes. The date of this initiative coincides with our Olympathon Day, so Liliana has organised to run a jelly bean guessing competition for the children at school next week - $1 per guess. You may also wish to donate via the links in the flyer below.
