Last Day of School for 2025 |
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the restful break and the precious time families have shared. As our children return to the classrooms, we ask for Your blessings upon them. Guide their minds in learning, open their hearts to friendship, and fill them with enthusiasm for the journey ahead.
Bless our teachers and staff with renewed energy, patience, and wisdom as they dedicate themselves to nurturing every child. Strengthen our parents, supporting them with love and encouragement.
May this new term be filled with growth, discovery, and a deepening sense of community embeded in Your love. Help us all to walk together in peace and joy.
Amen.
Dear Parents/Carers,
A warm welcome back to all our students and families as we begin Term 3! We hope you had a restful and enjoyable winter holiday, filled with opportunities to relax, reconnect, and recharge. The school has been a little quieter without the energy of our students, and we're so excited to hear about their adventures and see their smiling faces fill the classrooms and playgrounds once again. We have another busy and enriching term planned, full of engaging learning experiences, faith development, and community events, including Jeans for Genes Day, Book Week, Parish Confirmation, and Grandparents Day and a Colour Run. We look forward to working with you to make Term 3 a wonderful and successful one for every child in our school.
School Attendance
Every day at school offers valuable opportunities for growth, learning, and connection, and consistent attendance plays a crucial role in your child's overall success and well-being.
When your child attends school regularly, they not only keep pace with their learning but also develop vital social skills. They participate in classroom discussions, collaborate with peers on projects, and build strong relationships with their teachers and friends. These interactions are just as important as the lessons themselves, fostering a sense of belonging and confidence. Missing even a few days can mean falling behind, missing key concepts, and feeling disconnected from their classmates.
We understand that illness or unforeseen circumstances can sometimes prevent attendance, and in those cases, we ask that you notify the school. However, we encourage families to prioritise school attendance as much as possible, planning appointments outside of school hours where feasible. Your support in ensuring your child is at school, on time, and ready to learn each day makes a significant difference.
Wishing you a blessed week,
Paul Moroney
Principal

We would like to remind students and staff of the importance of carrying and correctly tapping on their Opal cards when using public transport services.
Recent observations continue to show low compliance rates among some student passengers, which impacts our ability to accurately monitor patronage and ensure adequate service delivery. Your continued support in reinforcing the following key messages to students is appreciated:
- Students must carry their Opal card at all times when using public transport.
- Opal cards should be tapped on and off for every journey.
- Tap-on data helps assess demand and plan reliable school bus services.
We kindly ask that this reminder be communicated to students during roll call or via the school newsletter. If you would like support materials or posters to assist, we’re happy to provide them.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership.
It’s the final week for parents to register their child for ICAS via the parent payment system, don’t let your students miss their chance to join the ranks of academic excellence and earn well-deserved recognition.
