As we end the year it would be remiss to not acknowledge the wonderful support provided by our team of casual teachers and School Support Officers. Without their dedication, our school would not be able to operate each day. We particularly thank Mr Jenkins and Miss Lorenzini who have supported in 2 Red and 4 Blue this year.
We also thank Mrs Helen Williams who has supported in the school office this year.Congratulations to the following students who received the Good Samaritan Awards this week:
On Thursday, 12 December, Mrs Webb, Mrs Hampton, Mrs Galea and 8 children from our school went to the Retirement Mass for Mr Peter Turner, our Director of Schools. It was held in the Co-Cathedral in Wollongong and all schools in the Diocese had representatives there to farewell Mr Turner. The Mass was beautiful and very moving. Mr Turner has been the Director of Schools for the last 13 years. All 8 children represented our school very well and we were very proud of them.
After postponing because of the smokey weather, we were blessed with a beautiful hot day for our swimming carnival this year. The day went very well with many of the students participating in races. In the afternoon, all students had the opportunity to jump in the pool and have fun during the novelty events. Congratulations to the Therry House for taking out the winning trophy!
Congratulations to the following students who were awarded a medallion for accumulating the most points for competing in the competitive races:
