Dear Parents/Carers,
Alpha Online
Our school has begun to promote a program for parents and carers called Alpha. As the promotional material indicates, it is a 10-week program which allows you to explore Christianity in a friendly, non-judgemental environment. All of us are at different stages of our faith and, having chosen to be a part of a Catholic school community, we obviously feel that it is something worth exploring. I would encourage you to give this program serious consideration and find out more information about it. The testimony that has been pushed out on our school's Facebook page gives you a good insight into the impact the program can have.
Student Reports and Parent/Teacher Interviews
Last Friday the Interim Report for students in Years 1-6 was made avaiable via the Compass app. If you are having difficulty locating it, please contact the school office.
We have also pushed out information regarding Parent/Teacher interviews which will be held next week. Due to the restrictions placed on schools which limit parents being on site, these interviews will be held by telephone. Please ensure you are ready to receive the call at the time that you selected and that you are in a space that avoids potential interuptions. Also, please note that in most cases there will be 'No Caller ID' that appears on your mobile.
Updated restrictions
As has been mentioned in previous correspondance, there have not been any significant changes to the restrictions placed on schools which are aimed to keep everyone safe from the coronavirus. I would like to remind you of two:
- at present we are unable to allow birthday treats to come to school for distribution to other children.
- children who are expriencing flu-like symptoms should not attend school and you should be seeking medical advice.
Thank you for support with all the procedures that are in place.
God bless.

If your child is away from school it is important to let the school know as soon as possible with a specific reason, e.g. what type of illness they have, If you are filling in a note on the Compass app, please add an explanation in the details/comments box .
It is really important to keep your child at home if they are unwell, this will help with the spread of illness. In the current COVID 19 climate ,It is preferrable that you get a medical clearance for your child to return to school
If your child has a covid test, please notify the school when they have the test and as soon as you get your results please forward these on to the school.
Clothing Pool will be open this Friday 26th June from 8.30 am in the school Hall. Please remember to observe social distancing and hygiene practices.
Donations of Second hand clothes are also welcome
Due to COVID restrictions parents are currently not allowed on school grounds. We also need to limit the amount of visitors that come into the office, so please only come into the office if necessary.
It is important that you let the office know as soon as possible, via email or phone, if you are picking your child up prior to dismissal (including time). We can then arrange to have them in the office ready for you. Please note we are unable to arrange collection of your children during break times (11.15am-12 & 1.15pm-2pm) without prior notice. Please do not enter late arrivals or early departures into compass, this needs to be done by the school office.
Thank you for your assistance with this matter.
