Dear Parents/Carers,
Well, we have made it to the end of another school year. There is no doubt that it has been a most unusual year for all of us. I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your patience, understanding and support as we navigated the ever-changing restrictions that were imposed on schools as the year progressed. While some of the changed routines and procedures may have posed some challenges, they have proven to be successful in keeping the children and staff safe.
For those families who will not be returning to St John's in 2021, I would like to thank you for your contributions to our school community and to wish you all the very best
I would also like to acknowledge the students who have shown great resilience during the year and showed that they were able to quickly adapt to the many different situations. While there were many of our normal events that could not be held for them, they remained positive and settled into some excellent learning routines. I would especially like to thank our Year 6 students who displayed such maturity and great leadership through the year to keep all the other students motivated.
Finally, I would like to thank the staff of St John's. I am privileged to work with such positive, dedicated, passionate people who always have the children's interests at heart. I especially thank Mr Astill, Miss Symons, Mrs Skinner, Mrs Gruning-Fankhauser, Mrs Whelan and Ms Scaramella as they move on to new ventures in 2021.
I wish you all the very best that the Christmas season can offer - peace, joy and love.
God bless,
