Dear Parents/Carers,
As this is the final Newsletter for this term, I would like to pass on my prayers and best wishes to you and your family for the upcoming Easter season and school holiday break. Recently, the children have been learning about the events of Holy Week, culminating today in our liturgy, so I encourage you to take some time this weekend to attend Mass. This will help the children to keep the focus of this season on the story of Jesus. The Mass times for our parish can be found here.
End of school times
As COVID restrictions are easing, from the start of next term we will begin to move back to our normal pick up time. Gates will open from 3.10pm. We still ask that if you are collecting your children from school that you wait on the asphalt area outside their classroom.
School Cross Country
I would like to acknowledge the parents and carers who were able to help at our Cross Country on Monday. It was wonderful to welcome parents back on our site for this event, the first such occasion since the COVID restrictions were put in place. The day was very successful, even though we had to change the venue. I especially thank Mrs Marshall for her work in organising the day.
Catholic Education Office survey
I encourage you to complete the survey that was pushed out on Compass last week. This survey will provide input into the next strategic plan that the Catholic Education Office is developing. The link to the survey appears in this Newsletter.
P & F Easter Egg Raffle
Thank you to the P & F for organising this raffle, and to those families who bought tickets. There were lots of happy faces today with winning tickets!
Parish carpark
In the afternoon we have many parents and carers who drive into the parish carpark in the hope of finding a park. Please note that on most days there are very few parks available. On some days, I have counted nearly 30 cars driving through when there are, at most, five spaces available. When children are walking through this area, it poses a safety risk to have a lot of cars driving through this space, some of them double-parking. It is strongly recommended that you find a park on the streets. If you are walking with your children, please be mindful of holding their hand and walking in safe areas away from the driveway.
I appreciate how difficult it can be to find a park close to the school. This difficulty is shared in many school communities, as there are very few schools that have a dedicated carpark for parents to use. Of course, safety of the children is our number one priority.
Wishing you a safe and blessed Easter season,
Happy Birthday to the following students and staff who are celebrating

Advanced Life School Photo Information
An envelope has been sent home with each child , if you need a spare one please contact the office
School photo's will be taken in full SUMMER UNIFORM
If your child is away from school it is important to let the school know as soon as possible with a specific reason, e.g. what type of illness they have, If you are filling in a note on the Compass app, please add an explanation in the details/comments box .
Do not enter into compass if they are going to be late or leave early, that needs to be done from the school end.
It is really important to keep your child at home if they are unwell, this will help with the spread of illness. In the current COVID 19 climate ,if you child displays cold/flu symptoms, your child will besent home and you will need to get a medical clearance for your child to return to school
If your child has a covid test, please notify the school when they have the test and as soon as you get your results please forward these on to the school.
Birthday Celebration Sharing Restrictions Update
CEO have updated the food sharing policy due to the easing of Covid restrictions. Children are now able to share individually wrapped food items with their classmates on their Birthdays, this would included things like Lollipops, individually wrapped lollies etc.
We also need to be mindful of Children & teachers with food allergies & intolerances
There is still the option of purchasing Zooper Doopers from the canteen, These are now available to purchase through Flexischools
Thank you for your understanding with this matter
