Dear Parents/Carers,
As we become aware of the impact that COVID is continuing to have in other countries across the globe, especially India, there is a sense of gratitude for the situation we are in Australia. It is important that we do not take for granted the freedoms we have, and to ensure that we provide the prayers that can support those still in the grips of the pandemic:
To our brothers and sisters who have contracted
and are suffering due to the Coronavirus Disease,
we pray that God’s healing hand may rest upon them.
To medical doctors, nurses and the supporting staff
who are in the frontline of the fight against COVID-19,
may the Good Lord sustain them and inspire them
to render their life-saving services with due care, love and compassion.
We pray that God may grant all bereaved families his consolation and strengthen their
faith and hope in Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord.
Amen.
Friday Assemblies
It is pleasing that with the changes to COVID restrictions in schools, parents and carers are now welcome to join us for our Friday afternoon assemblies at which we present our school awards. These assemblies are held in the hall from 2.15pm and we alternate each week between Primary classes (Years 3-6) and Infants (Kinder-Year 2), and this week will be an assembly for our Primary classes.
Please note that if you attend, you are required to register using a QR code that will be placed at the entrance to the hall.
P & F Meeting
The next P & F Meeting is being held on Tuesday 11 May 9.30-10.30am in the hall. All are welcome to attend. There will be an option provided for you to participate via Zoom.
Wishing you a safe week,

Uniform Reminders and Updates
At the moment we are in a transitioning period between summer and winter uniforms. Students are welcome to wear either their summer or winter uniform, but not a combination of the two. The images below demonstrate what complies with our policy, and what does not. Please note, in Winter, if the girls would like to wear socks, these should be the long ‘Becky Style’ socks from Lowes.
This year we are introducing pants to the girls winter uniform. These are completely optional and may be worn in place of the girls tunic. Girls wear the same shirt and tie with both options. The image below shows both options for the girls winter uniform and the boys winter uniform.
If you daughter would like to wear navy pants, they are available from Lowes. You will notice they may be labeled as boys pants, however, Lowes has assured us they are in fact unisex pants and worn by both boys and girls in many of our Catholic Primary Schools.
Disabled Parking
There are four marked disabled parking spaces in the carpark. We ask that these are only used by parents or grandparents displaying a valid disability parking permit. While we can appreciate that it can be difficult finding parking before and after school, there are a number of parents, grandparents and students that require access to these spots. We acknowledge that the vast majority of parents respect these parking spaces are for people displaying a valid permit only, and we thank you for your ongoing support with this.
Often the nature of a person’s disability is not always visible to us. Questioning a person’s disability, when they have a permit on display, is inappropriate and we ask that respect is given to one another at all times.
Student Arrival Time
Please be mindful that although playground gates are opened at 8.15am, supervision of students begins at 8.30am. The gates are only opened a few minutes earlier to prevent a build up of students waiting in the car park. Students should not be on the school ground or parish car park prior to this time, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
If you require supervision of your child(ren) prior to 8.15am, we suggest you access the before school care, run by Aspire.
Please also be aware that the school office opens at 8.30am.
Birthday Celebration Sharing Restrictions Update
CEO have updated the food sharing policy due to the easing of Covid restrictions. Children are now able to share individually wrapped food items with their classmates on their Birthdays, this would included things like Lollipops, individually wrapped lollies etc.
We also need to be mindful of Children & teachers with food allergies & intolerances
There is still the option of purchasing Zooper Doopers from the canteen, These are now available to purchase through Flexischools lunch 2
Thank you for your understanding with this matter
If your child is away from school it is important to let the school know as soon as possible with a specific reason, e.g. what type of illness they have, If you are filling in a note on the Compass app, please add an explanation in the details/comments box .
Do not enter into compass if they are going to be late or leave early, that needs to be done from the school end.
It is really important to keep your child at home if they are unwell, this will help with the spread of illness. In the current COVID 19 climate ,if you child displays cold/flu symptoms, your child will be sent home and you will need to get a medical clearance and a negative covid result and be symptom free before your child can return to school
If your child has a covid test, please notify the school when they have the test and as soon as you get your results please forward these on to the school.
