Dear Parents/Carers,
Today brings to a close the celebration of Reconciliation Week. In light if recent events in America that have brought to the surface significant racial tensions, it is timely to reflect on the purpose of Reconciliation Week. The Reconciliation Australia website notes that: "As always, we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us, and Australians now benefit from the efforts and contributions of people committed to reconciliation in the past. Today we work together to further that national journey towards a fully reconciled country."
It is incumbent on us, as adults, to ensure that our children learn that reconciliation is for all of us. We need to show them how we seek unity and mutual respect as we come together and connect with one another. By doing this with our children, our future communities have a better chance of being peaceful and respectful.
Reconciliation Prayer
Holy Father, we pray for your strength and grace to forgive, accept and love one another. Give us the courage to accept the realities of our history so that we may build a better future. Help us to bring about spiritual and social change to improve the quality of life for all groups in our communities.
Morning and afternoon procedures
I would like to pass on my thanks for your understanding and support of the current changes to our drop-off and pick-up procedures. These routines have been going very smoothly and are helping our school to adhere to the social distancing requirements. Ultimately, we are helping all in our school community to keep safe.
Keeping our school safe
I would also like to thank the parents and carers who have supported the new procedures that must be followed when a student becomes sick at school and needs to be collected during the day. You are reminded that part of these procedures is that the child cannot return to school until a medical clearance certificate has been obtained.
Survey
Having been through a period of time in which there were many significant changes to the way our school has had to operate (indeed we are still in a different phase), we are seeking some feedback from parents and carers about how we learn from our COVID-19 pandemic response to recognise and realise better ways of operating, aligning and integrating improved practices in all aspects of our school. It focusses your thoughts on what you would like to see the school 'Keep, Improve, Start and Stop.' It would be apprecited if you had time to complete the survey. You can access the survey here.
God bless.

Due to COVID restrictions parents are currently not allowed on school grounds. We also need to limit the amount of visitors that come into the office, so please only come into the office if necessary.
It is important that you let the office know as soon as possible, via email or phone, if you are picking your child up prior to dismissal (including time). We can then arrange to have them in the office ready for you. Please note we are unable to arrange collection of your children during break times (11.15am-12 & 1.15pm-2pm) without prior notice. Please do not enter late arrivals or early departures into compass, this needs to be done by the school office.
Thank you for your assistance with this matter.
Kindergarten 2021 Enrolment Applications
Please note that applications for Kindergarten 2021 are still being accepted. Interviews are curently being held so forms will need to be received as soon as possible. Please contact the school office for more information.
